Attending your first international conference is an amazing experience even though it may seems scary at first. However, this is an excellent opportunity to network and learn from the excellent work done by other people presenting at the conference.
On November 10th, 2019, I have participated in Asia Pacific Regional conference Bangkok, Thailand organized by Good Deeds Day where I met people from 19 countries working in development sector. Personally I think this conference was very well organized and very successful. I fully enjoyed three days event with so many interesting discussions on different topic related with Volunteering. All the session including panel discussions I attended had been very informative and insightful on their particular subjects. I would like to take this chance to reflect upon my enriching experiences in Bangkok and summarize in what ways this Asia Pacific Regional conference helps me to know more about Volunteering programs in different countries and how to benefit from exchange of ideas, sharing of expertise, socializing with international counterparts etc.
What is Good Deeds Day?
Good Deeds Day is an annual tradition of good deeds. All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world
On the first day of the conference November 10th Day started with the registration followed with activity by A Piece of My Mind. In this activity each participated have to write about what inspires you to do good?
The conference was facilitated by Kaynan Rabino (main facilitator) and Hannah Wojno, from Good Deeds Day (Israel). The workshop alternated between presentations, plenary sessions.

In conclusion, I would like to express my heart-felt thanks to people who have made this Asia Pacific regional conference possible and those who have shared their experiences during those three days in Bangkok. I have benefited very much from this fantastic event. I had the opportunity to gain greater understanding of global movement of Good Deeds Day. It also gave me an exposure to meet development professionals from different countries like Russia, Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia, FIJI, Hong Kong, Singapore and Pakistan as well.
