Reconnecting you to nature

It’s time! Once again UN World Environment Day, we seek to make the biggest a call for volunteers and mobilization for action on 5 June, World Environment Day and throughout the whole week.

WED (11)

World Environment Day is the biggest annual event for positive environmental action and takes place every 5 June. World Environment Day is a day for everyone, everywhere. Since it began in 1972, global citizens have organized many thousands of events, from neighbourhood clean-ups, to action against wildlife crime, to replanting forests.

“Connecting People to Nature”, the theme for World Environment Day 2017, implores us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and its importance, and to take forward the call to protect the Earth that we share.

At iVolunteer, we have different activities planned at different centers across India.

Hyderabad: Soda Bottle Garden – To engage volunteers and beneficiaries to use plastic bottles to make a vertical garden.

Chennai: Sapling plantation and clean up NGO play area for Children.

Delhi: Tree Plantation Campaign where volunteers will plant a tree in their home and office premises and post a selfie with one slogan.

Bangalore: Sapling plantation; What happens to your waste?? and a visit to kasa rasa.

Pune: Red Dot Campaign- An environmental awareness session

Kolkata: What product can be made from waste materials.

Mumbai: Clean up drive – To clean up a community and make a safe place for children to play.
