iVolunteer Overseas (IVO) is a joint initiative of iVolunteer and VSO. This program gives you, qualified and experienced professionals, the unique opportunity to work in countries in great need for your skills. The remuneration is modest- that’s why the term used to describe these placements is “volunteering assignments”.
A volunteering assignment is an incredible avenue for both personal and professional growth. Volunteers get to hone their skills by working in challenging environments while gaining a perspective on life that is outside the reach of those safely ensconced in their conventional careers. Little wonder then, that the world over, employers are looking for candidates who have volunteered at some point in their professional life.
VSO has extended its recruitment program to India through its partner iVolunteer Overseas (IVO). Since 2005, more than 200 committed and skilled volunteers have been placed through IVO program and have come back with enriched lives and careers.
Volunteer Profiles:
The volunteers come from different backgrounds, possess a unique set of skills and are offered placements in Africa and Southeast Asia. While individual start dates may vary, field placements can range from one to two years and tend to fall under the following broad categories:
+ NGO Management/ Advocacy Specialists/ M & E Advisors/ Fundraisers
+ Gender Specialists/ Gender Development Adviser
+ Organizational development Adviser (Capacity Builder)
+ Education Management/ Teacher Training/ Vocational Training
+ Project Management- Development Projects
+ Business Development- Livelihoods/ Microfinance
+ Agriculture Professionals
+ Healthcare/ Hospital Management

+ Volunteer management and more…
Application Process:
If you are an individual with a proven track record of leadership and management responsibilities with over 5 years of experience in the above categories and are interested in becoming a volunteer then visit http://www.ivoindia.org
The application process for the iVolunteer Overseas (IVO) program consists of the following steps:
