On 30th April, 2016 a group of enthusiastic kids got together at Humara- Bachpan, an NGO which aims at inclusion of child friendly components in the national and state urban development policies, for an interactive session & inspiring talk from Paulson.
This session was a part of iVolunteer’s campaign – “Summer Volunteering Program.”
We at iVolunteer, bring together Speakers and NGO’s & ask them to share their inspiring journey of life with young children. In just the same way we invited Mr. Paulson, founder of a portal named DocMode.com, to deliver a talk about the journey of his life and how he came up with an idea of starting this portal.
He had a session with kids aged 8-16 years at HUMARA BACHPAN and also played games and held challenging tasks which taught kids the art of thinking ‘out of the box’.
Drawing light on Paulson’s portal “DocMode.com”, it was a joint start-up of Paulson and Hans in 2009, which marked a revolution for medical doctors and students in the field of Medicine as it created a worldwide learning platform.
During his early years Paulson tried his hands in architecture, bachelors in science at Wilson college and also the J.J school of arts, but he finally completed his Bachelors of Mass Media. He and his friend, Hans Lewis, thought of a unique idea (which he caught from his past experience of Mr. Salman teaching his son math over the YouTube). Their portal deals with more than 90,000 doctors from around the world learning about new techniques, equipment, medicines and inventions in the field of Medicine.
This portal trains over 3000 doctors at one particular time and over 90,000+ doctors on the whole, which is to an utmost advantage to the medical sector in today’s fast paced world.
At the workshop Paulson also showed a few inspiring videos to children, drawing their attention towards ‘creative thinking’.
Paulson’s journey inspired everyone at Humara Bachpan and gave them a ray of hope that they are all meant to do something extraordinary in their life & that each one is blessed with a unique skill.
Paulson also played a few games with the kids which allowed them to think differently and give them an ability to solve impossible tasks successfully.
Paulson’s volunteering support to iVolunteer and Humara Bachpan has been highly appreciable.
