After Three Months… I Finally Got a Table
Before that, my work life had one small but very important problem – I didn’t have a table. Yes, a table. Just a normal piece of furniture that most people don’t even think about. But when you don’t have one, you suddenly realize how important it actually is.
My laptop had no permanent address. My notebook kept traveling from one place to another. Sometimes I kept things on a chair, sometimes on a random surface, and sometimes I just stood there wondering where to put everything. Basically, my “workspace” was more like a temporary refugee camp for office items.
Working like that every day was not exactly comfortable. You start your work already feeling a little disorganized because nothing has its own place. A table is a simple thing, but it gives you a sense that this is where work happens.
Finally, today something amazing happened- a table became available. But of course, life never gives things easily. The table was not peacefully waiting next to my room. It was located in another building, the kind of place where machines are constantly running, making noise, and the air smells like industrial adventure.
So the mission began.
With the help of one brave teammate, we decided to bring the table from there to my room. The sun was blazing like it had a personal problem with us. The ground was rough, the distance felt longer than expected, and the table itself was not exactly light.
So we started dragging… lifting… adjusting… dragging again. At some point it felt less like moving furniture and more like a small construction project. What we thought would take maybe 30 minutes slowly turned into a four-hour journey. Yes, four hours… for one table.
By the end of it, we were tired, sweaty, and probably questioning some life decisions. But finally, the table reached its destination —my room.
Victory.
Now my laptop has a proper home.
My notebook is not wandering around anymore.
My bag finally rests somewhere respectable.
It’s funny how something as simple as a table can suddenly make a workspace feel complete.
After three months of improvisation, random surfaces, and creative balancing of office items, I can finally sit down and say:
I officially have a workspace now.
Sometimes the smallest things like a simple table feel like the biggest upgrade in the world.
