As I conclude my fellowship journey, I’m filled with a mix of emotions, particularly as I bid farewell to my new friends and family who have become an integral part of my life. Reflecting on this journey, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to the pillars who have supported me every step of the way – my school’s gentle leaders, the teachers.
From the moment I began my fellowship, building a relationship with them wasn’t easy. Initially, we faced a language barrier, with me speaking in Hindi and them responding in broken Hindi, often with silence. However, my persistence paid off, and gradually, we developed a strong bond. We would discuss the school’s conditions, share lighthearted moments, and talk about their responsibilities, which eventually led to a relationship built on mutual respect and trust.
These three teachers were my rock, my backbone, throughout my journey. I vividly remember the struggles I faced while constructing the disposal machine, and they were always there to lend a helping hand. During my initial days, when students would disrespect me due to unfamiliarity, they stepped in to arrange sessions and promoted my capacity to the students, ensuring I could conduct sessions without disturbances.
What I cherish most about our relationship is the emotional connection we shared. We laughed together, struggled together, and supported each other through thick and thin. They weren’t just teachers; they were leaders who taught me valuable life lessons that will stay with me forever.
On looking back to my life’s journey, I’ve been fortunate to have had numerous teachers who have shaped my perspective. However, these gentle leaders have taught me delicate yet profound pointers that will continue to inspire me. On the occasion of Guru Purnima, which fell on July 11th, my heart swelled with gratitude, and I felt compelled to devote something to them.
As I bid adieu to this chapter of my life, I’ll always cherish the memories and lessons I’ve shared with these remarkable teachers. They’ve left an indelible mark on my heart, and I hope to carry their teachings forward, making my life more creative and glorified.
