I was writing poem sitting under a tree,
I heard the birds singing and the trees dancing
Air played the music and rain spread the colors,
The soil had a fragrance, I knew there was something cooking
IN THE NATURE . . .
A little sparrow, flying high and high,
with love in its heart
and hope in its eyes,
Is looking at the green in the tree that was dried long back.
Thanking the tree for giving shelter it thinks,
“Its time for trees to flourish again,
its time to become forest again”
And it thanks again for feeding her friends too.
A huge green tree, swinging in the air,
with gratitude in its root
And kindness in its branches,
Is looking at the soil that had cracks long back.
Thanking the soil for holding it so long it thinks,
“Its time for soil to flourish again,
its time to become fertile again.”
And it thanks again for helping her friends too.
The soil in the field, sitting calm and serene,
With inclusion in its depth
and diversity spread wide,
Is looking at the grasses that were rare since years.
Thanking the grasses for holding it in storms it thinks,
“Its time for the grasses to flourish again,
it time to hold every thing again.”
And it thanks again for healing her friends too.
The grass is looking upwards to the blue sky,
With care in its leaves
and equality in its roots
It feels the first drop of the cold rain and scent of the soil.
Thanking the rain for showering, it thinks,
“Its time for rain to flourish gain,
its time to bring the freshness again.”
And it thanks again for pouring on her friends too.
The rain now looks everywhere on the earth,
The sparrow is throwing seeds for new plants to grow,
The grasses are holding dew drops for the insects,
The trees are giving shelters to all the living creatures
And the soil is absorbing water and nourishing the earth.
It looks further more to see only the connection,
connection of lives that can’t exist without each other.
With compassion in its drops
And life in its core
It thanks them all for being together and says
“We are part of nature,
We exist because we are together,
Its time for nature to flourish again,
its time for us to come together again.”
And I continued my poem while listening to all,
With tears in my eyes
and compassion filled in heart
I was looking at the world that was burnt long back.
Thanking them all for being so kind I wrote,
“We are part of nature, We exist because we are together”
And I thanked again for protecting my friends too…
